Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix discovered early that she was gifted to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her first race, Felix was second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as an athlete in professional competition. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. A year later Felix was awarded her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking the world junior record sprinting 200 meters within 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she was the youngest world champion of 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of every event.
